PARTICIPATORY Research INTO COMMUNICATION
WITH NON-HUMAN INTELLIGENCE

This strange volume is effectively the sequel to ‘A Covenant of 13 Devils’, and offers the reader a different means to engage with the thresholds of our own limitations and to glimpse, or even commune with, that which exists beyond the limits of our perception.

The book itself is a series of 72 strange images, created by an AI, and using the exact same prompt for all of the images. But this is not about the relationship between human and AI non-human intelligence. Rather, it simply uses that non-human intelligence as the medium to create fixation points which the human mind can, nonetheless, still find meaning and value.

The book is intended to serve the explorers of the realms beyond our human constructs, to help them reach out into the void and establish contact with whatever non-human intelligences might care to respond. It is inherently a process-led practice that builds itself as it moves forward. This is not about me telling you the identities of the denizens of Another Place, but rather to facilitate lines of transmission and communication between ‘here’ and ‘there’ that you may find them yourself

This work, though a tangent to the rest of the sorcery undertaken by Jack Macbeth, nevertheless draws on and develops the work established in volume 4 of IXI, called The Book of Sinews. In keeping with the principles of sorcery, it is for the individual explorer of the Abyss to come to their own understanding agreements with those from outside and within. I cannot tell you their names, for their names are the word-pact that initiates the communication. This book is merely a toolset to help the practitioner get there.

Aside from a few opening and closing remarks, this A4 book contains a series of 72 unique images printed on card, and bound with wire-spine to allow ease of opening.

RESEARCH

For those that wish to do so, as part of this research I am inviting owners of the book who work with it, to submit their findings to a collective archive, as a means of observing coincidences and differences.

I cannot make unbreakable claims that true non-human intelligence is encountered, but nor can i dismiss it. There is perhaps a Jungian quality to delving into these images that suggests they link into personal and collective unconscious, but again, we cannot escape the potential that even the collective, archetypal matrix of symbols and information is not itself capable of being infiltrated by non-human intelligence. Those who have worked with DMT and similar mind altering substances might even agree that there exist within us further non-human intelligences, somehow accessed through a mindspace that is outside/inside and different to the 4-5 dimensional space we already inhabit.

The engagement with those intelligence structures, different ways of thinking and perceiving - of experiencing reality - remain a fundamental subtext to the whole work undertaken by Jack Macbeth over the last 20 years as part of the work with IXI.
